Catherina Burkhardt

Catherina Burkhardt is the owner of Pilatesraum Berlin. With the opening of her studio in Zehlendorf Mitte she created a place in an exclusive ambience where she brings body and mind back into harmony with the help of Pilates and Yoga.

Already at the age of 3 she made her first movement experiences in classical ballet and dance. In addition, she had a great passion for sports. She still holds on to her enthusiasm for efficient movement and performance-based but balanced training. For her, Pilates is the perfect foundation for any sport. Yoga gives her inner peace and serenity. Competitive experience in marathons, Berlin Championships in triathlon, World Championships 100-km relay as well as participation in Ironman Austria, 100-km run Biel and challenges such as climbing Kilimanjaro complete her profile. She has been an active member of SCC for many years.

Due to the constant exhaustion both professionally as an executive assistant in international companies and in the sporting field, she deepened her interest in yoga and Pilates and completed - also to find her work-life balance again - in 2009 a yoga teacher training for 500 hours. The training included the teachings of Hatha Yoga, Hot Yoga, meditation as well as different massage techniques and Aryuveda. She was trained in various workshops by Sharon Gannon, David Life, Patrick Broome, Anna Trökes, Ana Forrest, Bryan Kest, Dechen Thurman, Young Ho Kim and others.

In January 2012 she was trained and certified by Sandra de Sousa Machado at the Pilates Holistic Center Hamburg as a STOTT PILATES trainer in Matwork and Reformer and a little later in Cadillac, Chair, Barrels (essential to advanced). This was followed by a series of advanced training courses and workshops (including Pilates Pre/Post-Natal, Pilates for the elderly, athletes, scoliosis clients and fascia work) and participation in Pilates congresses. Trainings as 'Functional Trainer' and 'HIIT-' as well as "Flying Pilates Trainer" followed.

Her personal conviction: "Everything really wanted in life is doable!"
